Geocache Description:

Culture Shock

This is a Flash Mob event!! Show up at the posted coordinates (some interesting statues with the Performing Arts Center in the background) at 11:30am, we'll take a photo, sign the log and be on our way by 11:40am!

Please note - there is a LOT of construction going on around downtown Kansas City! 12th Street and all of its highway entrances and exits are currently closed down and I-35 is also a mess. If you need help figuring out how to get there please contact me and I will help you figure it out.

August is being celebrated by geocachers around the world as the “31 Days of Geocaching.” Find a geocache, log a “Found it” (or an “Attended” for an Event Cache) and earn a unique calendar-style Geocaching souvenir for each day in August. That’s 31 souvenirs up for grabs.

I attempted to scout parking for those of you who don't work close enough to walk... I suggest arriving a little early and plan on walking a block or two. There is no parking directly around the event area, all the streets have no parking signs up There are some 2 hour parking signs on Central, to the north of the event. There may or may not be some parking on 14th between Wyandotte and Central (technically there is parking, but they had portable no parking signs up today). I think there may be some street parking on 17th in front of the Kauffman Center and possibly on Broadway next to the Kauffman Center. I think there's also parking on Baltimore, but that's a big uphill walk. There is of course parking in the Kauffman Center parking garage and the Barney Allis Plaza garage, but I do not know how much they charge to park. Sorry for the lack of free close by parking! If you arrive too close to 11:30am, you park at your own risk in the very close by lots that say no public parking... how quickly can we flash mob???
