Geocache Description:

This stretch of HWY 79 from Clarksville, TN to Dover, TN was pretty lonely, but now has a string of geocaches to keep fellow cachers busy with.

I have read about the power trails being placed out West in Nevada and thought it was time to bring the concept over to Middle Tennessee. Clearly I don't fully understand the concept of power trails because:

a) Most of these caches are .13 miles or more apart. The average power trail tries to have them .10 apart.
b) the type of hides and the cache sizes could vary, ranging from micro to regular. Most power trails consist of the same micro containers hidden in the same type of spot over and over.
c) these caches are along a beautiful stretch of road rather than along some barren roadway in the desert.
d) there are only 13 caches on this trail (does that even quality as a power trail?). You sure aren’t going to break any records for caches found in a day here (see the ET Highway power trail [click on the picture above for more info] consisting of 1000 caches in a row).

What does qualify these caches as a power trail is that they can all be found within easy walking distance from the road along a stretch of road where there is an extra large shoulder for parking. I drove this area while developing my Purple Heart Power Trail.

I recommend you start with #01 and work your way around the HWY 79 Trail towards HWY 79 and grab another "Power Trail" along the way. Additionally, you could do this Trail in conjunction with my Purple Heart Series and find quite a few more. I guess you could start with #13 and then work your way north as well, but that puts you on the wrong side of the road. Whatever way you do it HAVE FUN!!!
