-- 8 miles of back roads off Rt. 32
-- The Dryfork River has a number of fabulous swimming holes where you can swim in the clear, clean mountain waters during high summer. Take a watermelon and some drinks and sunbathe on the flat rock, then plunge in the river to cool off.
CAUTION: there can be dangerous currents, swift, cold waters, drowning potential, slipping potential on wet rocks. Popular with locals, but use common sense, particularly after rains when waters are higher.
