If you do not have any idea what a Cetacean is look it up! Any other way makes this TOO easy as this is in downtown Yachats! This "Landlocked Cetacean" has been a stopping point in Yachats for a number of years. In the summer time you may get wet even on a sunny day due to what Cetaceans often do (about every 90 seconds or so for this guy).
Jim Adler is the local artist who came up with the idea for this kinetic sculpture and is a perfect art project for our quirky village. This critter actually has a name. It is Bazalgette
Anyhow enjoy the fun and take time to look around. There is limited parking next to the site. You may want to park over near the Yachats Commons and walk down to the "location" It's only about 0.2 miles and you might also want to enjoy the City Park just behind the Commons.
The cache is located in a small city park. The park is defined by two walls, street, and the sidewalk next to US 101. The cache is in the park and does NOT require you to walk on or in the flower beds.
If you are trying to complete the Scenic Yachats tour to earn the Yachats Geocoin make sure you record the password on this inside cover of the cache. The Passport can be viewed and printed at goyachats.com/Geocaching. See GC4FTEN for details.
