International Geocaching Day – Greek Style
Come participate in a Geocaching Event to celebrate the 17th day of the 31 Days of Geocaching in August. AND being the International Geocaching Day, what better way to celebrate than taking a trip to Greece! Well sort of…
We will meet at 11:30 am on the front patio of The Greek Flame restaurant off Sand Lake Road and Dr Phillips Rd. If the rains come early, we’ll move inside. Stay for just for a quick meet and greet to earn your souvenir or hang out and have some lunch. I’ll provide the olives, feta, and pita for snack AND a FREE dessert for the FTF! The rest is up to you. (Eating is NOT required to attend. We welcome ALL cachers - local and visiting tourists.) I’m also working on an authentic “made in Greece” prize for the first to show up in a toga! So keep watch on the updates…
UPDATE #1: OK, I have the special toga prize for the first brave soul to show up wearing the ancient Greek fashion.
UPDATE #2: I figure on being there until 1:30, but if you cannot make it during this time I have arranged for the log book to stay for the day. So I hope to see you there, but if not show up later and ask the hostess for the log to sign.
31 Days of Geocaching
Groundspeak is promoting the "31 Days of Geocaching" throughout the month of August, 2013.
