Geocache Description:

A cache just outside of the Charelston Lake Park boundary, for those vising the park, or others portaging between the waterways.  You are looking for a peanut butter jar in a hole in a large tree. Some bushwhacking will be necessary to get closer to GZ.

I invite you to include where you are vising from when you log this cache.

This cache replaces the old "Park Boundary" cache. This area has much to enjoy: a beautiful lake, relaxing scenery, many interesting trails to explore.

This cache is just outside the park boundary, in the general area where the old cache was (I never actually found the old cache since it went missing long ago). You can get to GZ several ways, including walking the Park trails, or canoeing in from one of the bays (this area is a portage trail between the two bays). It is less than a 2k walk from the Visitor Center parking (about 1.7k). And if you boat in from the Charleston Lake bay you cannot enter with a power boat, since the area is restricted to non-power boats.

I walked in from the Park trails and I have included some pictures below, including a spoiler picture in the hint of the tree with a view of the hole where the cache is. I wasn't planning on placing this cache when I visited this time so I didn't have any swag to place in the cache, not even a pen. Feel free to add some if you'd like.

As always please return the cache as you found it. My hope is that many people, from all parts, will be able to enjoy finding this cache for many years. BYOP.

Be Safe and Enjoy the Hunt!!
