This Cache is located at the Waihohonu Hut in the Tongariro National park. The hut is situated between Mt Ruapehu and Mt Ngauruhoe and is a 5km easy tramp for all the family from the desert road carpark.
The cache is a small black plastic screwtop container with only a logbook so please bring your own pen. It can be acessed all year round although in very deep snow you may have to dig alittle to find it.
The hut is a fantastic spot to stay and relax with sleeping for 28, solar lighting and if the water isn't frozen hot water also.
