Even though we call AbbyDoo a GeoDog, most of the time she would much rather be chasing critters, or meeting new human friends, than looking for Geocaches. Therefore, per her request, the actual coordinates listed will simply take you to the actual location of this hide. Geocaches are placed along People's Pathways with permission from the Greencastle Mayor.
From the Parking area, if you are facing the "Ring of Fire," walk slightly to the Southeast in order to cross the street safely. Continue north along the People's Pathway paved trail, into the wooded area. Soon, you will come to Shadowlawn Avenue. This can be a busy street, so be mindful of your GeoDogs and GeoKids as you cross. Continue north into the woods, and at the bottom of the first "S" curve, you will come upon a small creek. When my daughter was young, she and her friends named this "Cold Foot Creek." On warm days it is hard for any GeoKid to resist putting their feet in the cold water. This Letterbox Hybrid is hidden very near to the bridge over Cold Foot Creek.
***Please leave the rubber stamp and the ink pad in the Geocache, as it is the very best part of the Letterboxing experience for all future finders.***
Remember to place the Geocache back in the hiding place exactly how you found it, and watch for muggles.
If you happen to meet AbbyDoo and her people, make sure to snap a picture of her "Log My Dog" Trackable tag on her collar. Then you can go online later to log that you "discovered" her out on the trail!
