404 - the road that will take you to Finland.

Purkki lähellä Ruotsin ja Suomen rajaa, Muonionjoen ylittävän sillan kupeessa. Muonion tulliasema ei ole enää auki, joten liikkuminen Suomen ja Ruotsin välillä on tämänkin vuoksi hyvin vapaata. Valtion rajan ylittäminen kannattaakin tehdä Muonion kohdalla tätä siltaa pitkin, sillä virta joessa on hyvin voimakas eikä joki jäädy talvellakaan kauttaaltaan virtausten vuoksi. Cache really close to the Finland-Sweden border. The border station at the bridge is not open anymore, so moving over the border is really easy. If you are thinking to go Sweden when you are in Muonio it is the easiest way to go to Sweden. We dont recommend the other option, swimming or wading across the river, it is quite deep in some places and does not get frozen even during the winter. It might look like it is frozen but most likely it is just packed snow on top of fast moving water.
