Off the Beaten Track 2 Traditional Cache

This is located by a public footpath near to the beautiful hamlet of Merstone.

It is easily accessible from NCR 23 or from Rookley.

I know this area very well and remember walking through the tall sweetcorn with my two small children and going to Rookley park in the 80's.

Today when placing the cache, again, there is sweetcorn growing in the nearby fields.

This area can get muddy in winter.

The cache is a small clip-top box. It contains just a log.

There is room inside for a small trackables.

The cache can be found at the corner of the tree line at the base of a fairly large tree about a metre off the footpath.

This is a pleasant walk just off the cycle track and can be combined with several other caches in the vicinity. Be aware it can be very muddy along here in winter!
