I am not a local of Lousiana. I've lived here a little over a year, but I still find words/streets/objects that I either don't know how to spell or pronounce. I've heard the name of this park said several different ways and I'm wondering how it is actually supposed to be pronounced and so all you locals, please chime in! This park is great to go looking for wayward baseballs during baseball season or geocaches when it isn't. Be forewarned, there are ants, thorns, and poison ivy (I think) in the area.
