some text

This large mass of water is used by industrial, recreational and professional people for sailing, skiing, rowing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, boating, diving and is the home to a variety of flora and fauna. It has a number of islands and reefs within. It’s tidal to the Tasman Sea via a narrow channel at Windang.

The trail (a loop around the lake) is approx 30km's with most caches accessible by bike or by "car n walk". The LIPT is a work in progress and as further foreshore locations become available additional aches will be placed.

This cache is placed in a very beautiful and peaceful spot along the lake. Many use this area for fishing, BBQ's or ride by on their bikes.

A funny story about this cache spot, many years ago when Cheeky Meggs was caching with Krafty Charlie, she was stopped by a lady who was peering into the water.. She asked if the strange object below looked like a gun?!?! I wasn't so sure and thought she was pulling my leg, the object only looked a little like a gun, but after she advised the police was on their way, I thought it was worth waiting to see. Around 5 police officers turned up, all were not keen to get wet, so sent their sergeant in to do the dirty, well, wet work - so he stripped off and hit the water.. Low and behold, it was a gun, turns out it had been in the water quite some time.. But don’t let this distract you from this beautiful area, they think it had been washed in!!!

This cache will have cache #134 written in the original log

You may need tweezers to retrieve the log..
