I am about to celebrate my first year of caching and wanted to mark the occasion with something a bit different.
This is it!
This cache IS listed at the above coordinates but to claim it you must meet this one simple requirement:
You must have found SIX (or more) different types of cache as a milestone.
i) This is a milestone as defined by the geocaching.com website (ie 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 200 and so forth)
ii) they can be ANY of the types available.
iii)It doesn't matter what order you find them in, nor does it matter how many of each type you have as long as you can show 6 different icons on milestones over your caching career.
iv) Please post in your log a list of the milestones and icons that qualify you.
v) If you're at 5 icons and haven't found a puzzle, you can count this cache as your 6th icon as you log it.
Cachers just starting their career will find this easier than those with more experience - once you're past 1000 caches the milestones are fewer and further between!
I was made aware of this sort of challenge early on in my caching career, and so with my 700th find, I qualified. Unfortunately, the nearest one to me seemed to be in Horsham. I may well get there one day, but thought it would be good to have a Dorset one for everyone else!
I will be checking logs and any that don't meet the requirement will be deleted.
The cache is in woods. Please keep dogs on a lead and wear sensible footwear.
In winter and after wet weather this area can get wet and wellies may be required.
I shall be making certificates for qualifying cachers, that I will email to you to print off yourselves if that is more convenient.
