This is a night cache so bring your flashlight and your courage! This cache is a tribute to L.C. North and the great times we spent hunting and fishing on this land "Behind the Red House" with family and friends. You will pass the site of the old Red House, but it was moved up to Racetrack Rd many decades ago. The water management district has since taken over this land for a conservation area. Be on the lookout for the various creatures in the area. I have seen many deer, turkey, fox, bobcats and Gophers over the years. No sitings of the skunk ape yet, but you never know what lurks in the dark!
From the parking lot, enter the trail. On your left a short way in is the trail head map station, from there you should be able to see the orange trail reflectors that will lead you to the cache. Follow the orange reflectors for 1.0 mile, when you see two together, it is time to leave the trail. Follow the arrow to the circle of lights. The cache is in a natural camouflage container.
Do not follow the large white diamonds, those are the public use trail designations. There is a new geocaching pin for the first to find and I dropped off several travel bugs as well. Enjoy!
