Geocache Description:

Is that your nose or a Lower Triassic sandstone formation?!?

This is a quick and easy cache & dash at the mouth of the canyon that highway 287 used to follow.

If you have access to the satellite maps, take a peek; just to the east past the "no tresspassing" sign, the canyon heads north and you can see the remains of the old bridge.

Log only, bring a pen.  Enjoy!

Congrats to poudrecacher, FTF!

Epilogue:
It is said-- by those that remember-- that in the late 1940's when the road still went by here, a family of 5 was killed in a head-on car crash at the precise location of this cache. Ghost story, or history? Visit at night and find out for sure...
