On Route to or from the Finke River 4WD route which is a favourite for us, it has lots of driving variety from sand, rocks, clay pans and fords if your lucky enough to be at the right time if the year. The scenery is ever changing, taking you between red cliffs of gorges to plains of wildflowers you will be amazed as you zigzag along, it is slow going. Stop and have a break from driving, enjoy picnic under the shade of the trees here at the stock yards.
4WD strongly recommended - Rogers Pass is off the Ernest Giles Road. .
This track is for high clearance 4WD's and not suitable for trailers. It should only be attempted by people with previous 4WD experience or you may find yourself spending a lot of time digging. Be prepared and plan your visit. The cache container is a small rectangle Sistema and has been loaded with SWAG.
