ecrane: Wow! This one had over 60 maintenance logs, the vast majority of which were simply just looking in on it. Speaking of maintenance, a maintenance crew has removed the sign that was here. I suppose it opens up the area if someone wants to put out something new. A big thanks to all who visited over the years! I will miss the spot.

Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, but it is within two miles.

A buddy of mine drives a tractor-trailer. He is on the road constantly, and he has developed a love of puzzles--that's one thing we have in common. Here's a snippet of what he said to me in a recent conversation:

This last run was crazy. I was hauling on such a tight schedule. As usual, it was the radio that kept me sane. So I started in Baltimore. As I rolled into Harrisburg about an hour later, it was a good thing that I had 580 AM on. I don't know who those morning guys are, but they cracked me up.

From there, the cross-country trip was a breeze, but I was sure glad that when I reached Corvallis, that I had a clear signal of 99.9 FM.

I should break in at this point and say that I must have had a weird look on my face; his story was strange, to say the least. He gave a tiny smile, and that was all I needed to know that he was up to something, probably some sort of puzzle. I asked him to repeat his story so far, and this time I jotted down some notes. Then I smiled back and asked him to continue about his recent "crazy" trip. Yeah right.

Well, I was already in Oregon, so my next stop was Stanfield, where I was going empty. Took me about four hours. When I got there, I was listening to U-Rock. Good stuff, that! I got back on the road, 'cause I had to pick up my haul for a run to Jacksonville, Florida. The trip east was pretty smooth. I made a side trip to Lakeland, Georgia to--

At this point, I cut him off: "because you love the radio station there. Right? I'm guessing you were listening to Newstalk 105.9 FM, right?" He smiled his agreement. "One problem with your whole trip, though" I remarked. "There's no latitude of 38 degrees and 61 minutes."

Congrats to jeremiahsjohnson for the FTS!
