Cliff Swallows nest in large colonies on buildings, cliffs or under bridges. Their nests can number up to several hundred or thousands in a single location. The adult is stocky and long-winged with a square tail. It has a white forehead and tawny rump which is distinctive in flight. It is amazing to watch them catch fling insects!
You will be looking for a small camoed fruit jar, wired to a tree. Please DO NOT unwire the container, as it is a long way down the hill!
Now, this road is narrow and will not be driveable when wet. There is a very narrow bridge at the bottom of the road, but our truck made it!
Enjoy the scenery here and take time to watch the swallows!
