This cache is a park and grab on the wooded bank of Chippewa Creek. It replaces an earlier cache that was archived in 2012.
When naming this cache I checked the spelling of chicot in the dictionary only to find that it is not a word in English.Years ago when I worked in the bush we cut a chicot to make our lunch fire. When I looked it up in the French dictionary it is there defined as "Reste qui subsiste d'un tronc d'arbre rompu" which when translated literally would be "Still remaining a tree trunk broken". In this case it is not so much that it is broken but that it is dead but still standing.
