The cache is placed between a public house and Becks Field on the Porthill Footbridge. Just be aware this is a highly popular muggle area so stealth is required! The cache itself is a magnetic micro type, room for initials, so bring a pen, and tweezers may be a good idea!
Ten bridges span the River Severn as it loops around Shrewsbury, carrying people and goods into the town centre. The Porthill Footbridge is one of these. A ferry operated here until the bridge was built in 1922 by David Rowell Co. Ltd Engineers Westminster The bridge was opened on 18 January 1923. £2,000 of the bridge's total £2,600 cost was paid for by the Shropshire Horticultural Society.
