The Wolf Tree Cache Traditional Cache

Our family with friends found this unique area with several "Wolf Trees."  A wolf tree is a very large forest tree that has a wide-spreading crown and inhibits or prevents the growth of smaller trees around it.  Our geocache is set at one of the largest we have ever seen, making it a perfect spot for a geocache!

This trail is not as traveled as other's in the park and narrow but fairly easy.  You cannot miss the wolf tree as you are walking down the trail.  You will have to leave the trail to find the wolf tree geocache.  The amount of bark made it easy to hide this cache but more difficult to find.  It is a clear blue watertight outdoor box.  Inside the box you will find pens, assorted items to swap and a note pad to record your visit.  Please put the box back exactly how it was found so it is easy for other people to find.  We used multiple GPS devices for the coordinates and it should be found with in 10 feet.  If there is a problem with our box or you cannot find our cache, please contact us.  Enjoy!
