Most people don’t know that ski races were held here every winter during the “good years” (Post Civil War). The Meadow Lake residents were very proud of their ability to ski and often pointed out that the famous, “Snowshoe Thompson”, raced here and was beaten by several of the miners.
Remember that you are supposed to “trade” items. If you are a beginner to geocaching, feel free to take ONE thing without trading. Thank you
Can you imagine this area when they were racing those primitive long skis down the face of this hill? Take a moment to enjoy the view!
Please be careful about getting the container properly wedged into the camouflage.
