Geocache Description:

I suggest you access this from Barracks Road. You will probably get wet feet. p>

Barracks Road got its name from an old military barracks near Red Mill School dirung the time of the Revolution. The buiding still stands and the schoolgrounds are where the soldiers drilled.

I remember before Barracks Road was built this was a valley. Red Mill Creek (named for a mill downstream) meandered through the valley. They starightened the creek and filled the valley with fill from just southeast of this cache. That area was vacant clay fields for years after it was leveled. A ball field was in one corner. Now it's a housing development. We used to sled in the area where this cache is placed. This is not your typical park and grab. Placement involved 2 people.
