Geocache Description:

Driving through the country side, one comes upon the old farmsteads of yesteryears.  Each farmyard had a "little house"!

You know this building - the loo, the can, the john, the throne, the outhouse, all one of the same, just a different name.

How many remember the "outhouse"?  On a 40 below day and one "had to go", you trudge through the snow, pull open the door.  Brr so cold!  The Sears & Eatons catalogues were used for supplies.  Wrappings from Christmas oranges were a real treat in more than one way!  In the summer the flies and smell where a nuisance!

The outhouse might be a one seater or a two seater.  Sometimes a small seat was made for the children.  Often magazines were left to read in "the library" too!  If one was lucky there was even a cover for the seat!  Some had a crescent moon carved in the door for light but most often they were just made of old lumber and a basic model to do the job.

Before heading off to find the cache, make sure to visit the outhouse.  Enjoy the area  and remember to visit between Sunrise to Sunset!  Sorry no dogs allowed .  BYOP!
