I grew up in Dighton, and there were many pre revolutionary war historical sites that you could pass by and take for granted. I always got a kick out of this one. It's spelling and grammar are kinda wonky, especially by today's standards, but the sentiment behind it was what I always got a kick out of. It was to commemorate a vote that was taken nearby, which determined that (to paraphrase)
"If Congress decides to rebel against Grate Britton (sp), the people of Dighton has totally got their back."
The monument is on someone's property, but there is no need to trespass, as the monument can absolutely be cleary read from your car.
Using the monument, there is an easy puzzle to solve, to deduce the location of the cache container.
