Lima is for Leadership Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

halllilley: I decided to let go the twenty-six Military series caches and, as I could not find anyone who wanted to adopt them, I am archiving them. Thanks to all who figured out the puzzle for this one and logged the find. The container has been removed.

Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates!

Vince Lombardi, a great leader in his own right, once stated that "Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile."

In the military, leadership traits are encouraged at all levels of service, from the most junior members of the enlisted force all the way up to the four star admirals and generals. Great leaders get the most out of their people.

This is the twelfth cache in this series and it is dedicated to the men and women in the armed forces...and especially to those young men and women who have aspirations to join the active services once they enter their adult years.

Up to this point in this series, the puzzles have been pretty simple. A little research on the internet, figure out a tricky little hide, or something along those lines. This one won't be that easy. Below are several leaders pictures. Using those pictures will help you determine the correct coordinates. The given coordinates will take you to a good parking location, and then from there you've got a fairly short hike to GZ. Please observe the posted park hours.

Congratulations to 3omahakids for FTF honors!

Added 3/14/2016: BTCO was the owner of this military series of 26 caches either through the initial publication or through adoption. When he moved to Iowa he did not think he would be able to continue to properly maintain the series. As I had served 27 years in the Air Force he thought I would be a logical choice to assume the ownership of the series. I agreed with his assessment and I adopted the series from him.
