Geocache Description:

Another quick park and grab for all you numbers people. A small pill bottle size container with a magnet on it. Or you could say this is a cache to make you think of how to travel beyond where you are now...

As I was looking for another GZ for my back to nature series, I located this site. The woods behind will never be developed. It is an urban jungle. But I couldn't resist the name of this cache As I contemplated a cache name. It also made me wonder about navigating on the earth. We have magnetic forces working in our favor. I always carry that trusty compass with me. I lived in Alaska for 12 years and the difference of magnetic north to true north was huge compared to NC. I also worked in the jungles in Hondouras, close to the equator. Not much difference in the two at that location. Then somebody put up a few satellites and we now use GPS. Most people cannot navigate any more with a compass and a topo map. Join the scouts or the Army and learn the basics. But, what do we do when we venture beyond our planet? The forces of our north and south earth disappear. I need to call up NASA to find our how to navigate East of the planet... Post how you traveled east of the planet. I just drove there.

Congratulations to Stripes 17 for first to find!
