Our old Broad Cove cache here lasted nearly six years and had more than seventy visitors in its life. Nearby was a letterbox that was here long before our cache got hidden that was found by a number of people searching for the cache. Unfortunately the owners of the letterbox, which was named "Leo the Letterbox," went inactive and the box was archived, but still left in place. The stamp inside was pretty cool so we decided to "enhance" the box, change it to a new container and make it a letterbox hybrid. Now it's ready to be found again!
There are two log books inside the container, one for the cache and the other for the letterbox. If you choose to complete the letterbox portion and have your own stamp, please sign the letterbox log and sign the geocache one. Do NOT take the stamp or ink pad and make sure everything is replaced in the respective baggies.
This conservation area has unfortunately gotten quite a bit overgrown over the years and this should seem obvious if you attempt this one. There is a reference point/trail split mentioned below that you want to bear left at towards the water. If not, the bushwhack to the water should be pretty light and include very limited disturbing of the plant life there.
After signing, continue about 20 feet further down the trail where you can take in a beautiful view of the cove.
