Cape Ranch road is a former logging road and was also used for construction of the Oregon Wireless Interoperability Network tower. This is a repeater for the network which is for emergency and law enforcement responders at all levels.
I discovered something about the road that was interesting, but it was unfamiliar—a “Walk Score.” From Google, “Walk Score's mission is to promote walkable neighborhoods. Walkable neighborhoods are one of the simplest and best solutions for the environment, our health, and our economy.”
Cape Ranch has a score of 29 out of 100 Walk Score because you need a car to get to restaurants, and other businesses. So it really doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that the elevation gain from the gate to the 3rd cache is 310 feet over about 0.3 of a mile!
This road gives you a relaxing hike through the coastal forests. Enjoy the experience.
The container is a naturally camoed 4X6” loc ‘n loc.
