Our friends, Kaye and Mike skillfully made this cache to replace one of the many that were washed away in the floods in January. Mike, passed away unexpectedly in June so with Kaye’s permission we have named this cache in his memory.
We asked Bundybirder and Jannwendy to find us an appropriate spot in which to hide this cache and they certainly have done this. They have agreed to maintain this cache due to us living in Victoria and we are very grateful for their help.
Botanic Gardens: Located in North Bundaberg, the Botanic Gardens cover an area of 27.4ha. Since 1986, more than 10,000 trees and shrubs have been introduced. Lakes central to the gardens create habitat attracting some 144 species of bird. The Gardens were partially destroyed in the floods and are gradually being restored
The cache is a well camouflaged 500 mls screw top container. It contains a log book, and some Geokids things for swapping.
Please be careful getting the cache out and replacing it.
