Varde - Syddanmark - Danmark


Denne cache er en del af den længste “multi” cache i region Syddanmark. Serien havde oprindelig til formål at sætte fokus på danmarkskortet efter kommunalreformen i 2007. Der er cacher i alle 98 kommuner og de 5 regioner. For at finde en regions cache, skal du først finde alle kommunecacher i den region. Koordinaterne til regionscachen er placeret forrest i logbogen. Denne cache er nr. 3 i Varde Kommune, da de tidligere cache er lukket.

This cache is part of the longest "multi" cache in the region of Southern Denmark. The trail was originally made with the purpose to set focus on the map off Denmark after the new local government in 2007. There are caches in all 98 municipalities and 5 regions. To find a region cache you have to locate all municipalities’s in the same region. Coordinates for the region cache is placed at the first page of the logbook. This cache is no. 3 in Varde municipality as the previous caches is closed.

Blåbjerg Klitplantage

Blåbjerg Klitplantage er en statsskov beliggende langs Danmarks vestkyst i området mellem Henne Strand og Nymindegab. Plantagen er opkaldt efter Danmarks højeste klit, Blåbjerg Klit, der er 64 meter høj.

Ud over skov indbefatter plantagen også en hede umiddelbart nord for Henne Strand, samt arealerne langs Gammelgab. Gammelgab er det gamle udløb til Vesterhavet fra Ringkøbing Fjord. Gammelgab fremstår i dag som en række søer omgivet af rørskov med et rigt fugle- og dyreliv, bl.a. ses tit hugorm og mange fugle. I Blåbjerg Klitplantage lever desuden en stor bestand af kronvildt.
 Blåbjerg Klitplantage is a state forest located along the west coast of Denmark in the area between Henne Strand and Nymindegab. The plantation is named after Denmark's highest dune, Blåbjerg that is 64 meters tall.

In addition to forest the plantation also includes a moor immediately north of Henne Strand, as well as areas along Gammelgab. Gammelgab is the old mouth to the North Sea from the fjord. Gammelgab stands today as a series of lakes surrounded by reeds with a rich bird and animal life - including are often seen viper and many birds. In Blåbjerg Klitplantate lives also a large population of red deer.
