Geocache Description:

Birchington is the largest village in Kent. Birchington has four seaside bay’s associated with it, the most well known is Minnis Bay. The other three bays are Grenham Bay, Beresford Gap and Epple Bay.

These caches are based on Molly the Geohound's local walks.

Beresford Gap.

This bay has a steep slope leading down to the slipway.

To the right of the Gap are modern houses, had you been here in the 50’s you would have seen one of Great Britain’s finest hotels The Beresford Hotel.

The Beresford Hotel boasted - six acres of grounds along the cliff top, tennis courts, squash courts and a putting green. It had a restaurant for an epicure and a cellar for a connoisseur

To the left of the Gap there were the Tower bungalows the first true bungalows were built by architect John Taylor in 1868 in Kent.

There was a compass direction indicator on the cliff top as well.

You are looking for the missing compass.? (log book)
