Højsandet/ The High Sands
Dette er højsandet. Det helt specielle ved dette sted er kaprifolerne. De er smukke, men vokser som ukrudt og kvæler træerne som en kvælerslange overvinder sit bytte. Tidligere var fyrretræerne dominerende, men det virker på mig som om især egetræer er mere robuste. De bliver derfor mere talrige. Var der nogen der sagde Darwin?
This is the High Sands. The unusual thing about this place is the honeysuckles. They are beautiful, but grows like weeds and smothers the trees like a python succumbing it´s victim. Years ago the firs was dominating, but it seems to me that the oaktrees are more resilient. For this reason they are getting more numerous. Did anyone mention Darwin?
