Geocache Description:

First in what I hope will be a series of caches located at the "Top" of local towns. I estimate this cache at above 250' above sea level.

A modest cache with a bit of bushwacking at the end. Cache is located in Ames Nowell State Park. Park along Chestnut Street, near the water tower. Enter woods on path on other side of road and to the west of tower. Small clear container. Bring a pencil, as I forgot one when I placed it! Area is a haven for mountain bike enthusiasts.</ (13 October 2017) I have removed the coordinates for a nearby parking spot. I received a message from another cacher stating that they were booted out by the Abington Police and told to use the main entrance to the state park on Linwood St. That means a very long walk to the cache. This is the first I have ever heard of not being allowed to park on Chestnut Street so am not sure if this is a new policy of the town or just a quirk of this particular officer. Soooo....... Park at your own risk, make sure your car is completely off the pavement and don't block the water tank driveway.
