Geocache Description:

Solve at your desk puzzle. Cache is not at posted coordinates. Final cache location is in a high-visibility spot; please exercise your best ninja stealth. Bring your own pen and ink pad.

Honestly, current movies are junk. Yes, yes, I know this is very debatable; however, this is only my personal opinion. The amount of special effects used in your average film is gratuitous and, in most circumstances, unnecessary. It seems that today's filmmakers have lost sight of great movie making techniques such as creative story telling, compelling character development, and innovative cinematography.

If you want to see a fantastic film, research the titles of Alfred Hitchcock. In his filmography, you will find fascinating plots that have more twists and turns than Chubby Checker. Chronologically speaking, Hitchcock was at an all-time apex of creativity between 1940 and 1976. During this time frame, referred to his Hollywood Era, Hitchcock produced 27 movies — many of the all-time American film classics were born during this phase of his career.

Consider the following points:

With Psycho, Hitchcock single-handedly changed the way we view movies by killing off the leading character within the first 45 minutes (it was also the first American film to show a toilet flushing on screen).
The movie Rope was shot in only eight, continuous, ten minute scenes.
Hitchcock also explored eerie subject matter and human psychology such as that found in Vertigo.
Hitchcock was known to push the limits of his actresses to excite real, raw emotion within their characters.
In Rear Window we are forced into the viewpoint and lifestyle of an obsessive voyeur.
A common plot technique used within his work was a red-herring/decoy and a "MacGuffin" which is a term that Hitchcock coined himself.
There were the memorable female leads: Grace Kelly, Tippi Hedren, Eva Marie Saint, and Kim Novak (amongst many others) that pushed the limit of acceptable character development and female sexually of that era.
Lastly, Hitchcock was known for his meticulous planning and attention to detail — story boarding a film to perfection before one frame of film was ever exposed.

To stay that Hitchcock was a pioneer, would be a severe understatement. I have included a few posters from my favorite movies below, just to illustrate his extreme talent. It is my opinion that all of these movies pushed the envelope of filmmaking, in one way or another. My hat is off to you, Mr. Hitchcock — King of Filmmaking.

A letterbox hybrid cache is a cross between a traditional letterbox and a modern geocache.
