This Lorax series invites you to celebrate the wonders of trees. The caches are intended as family friendly hides that are easy to find with hints that are giveaways.
This cache celebrates the Flowering Crabapple, an apple tree whose fruit doesn't match that of its more famous apple tree cousins but whose spring flowering is a feast for the eye. Not surprisingly, the Flowering Crabapple is a popular ornamental tree. Both sides of Park Forest Avenue are ablaze with beautiful pink blossoms of Flowering Crabapple trees every spring.
This cache is a cache and dash. You can drive to within 5 feet of the cache.
Please be gentle to the tree when removing the cache from its hiding place. You're looking for a camouflaged film canister in a hollow of the tree behind a small rock. The log is a micro so please bring a pen or pencil. Permission for the cache has been given by the nearby property owner. Please visit only during daylight hours.
