The Lewisian Gneiss surrounding it is one of the oldest rocks in the word; one authority estimates it to be about 3 thousand million years old.

Weather permitting the Isle of Skye is clearly visible about 23 miles away across The Minch.

Near the top of the hill,

No need to put a shoulder to the boulder,

This geocache was created in August 2013. It is in a small rounded tub with room for small swappables, bring a pen and leave a note. This cache is cared for by a local boddach (old man!)
