Geocache Description:

EN: Crabby the pug has hidden a geocache near her favourite local château in Prangins.

FR: Crabby le carline a posé une géocache près de son château préféré à Prangins.

EN: The Château de Prangins was built in 1730 and served as a baronial residence and later as a boarding school. It was also home to Joseph Bonaparte and Voltaire for a short while. Since 1988, the château has been used to house the Swiss National Museum for western Switzerland. Geocachers visiting the castle can take a stroll through the park, wander around the kitchen gardens and admire the magnificent view of the lake and the Alps from the panoramic terrace.

FR: Construit en 1730, le Château de Prangins a servi comme résidence de baron au siècle des Lumières et plus tard comme internat. Voltaire et Joseph Bonaparte y ont résidé aussi quelque temps. En 1988, le château est devenu le siège romand du Musée national suisse. Les géocacheurs qui visitent le château peuvent se promener dans le parc et le jardin potager, et regarder la magnifique vue du lac et des Alpes depuis la terrasse panoramique.
