This large red roofed tower was originally built to hold water from near-by springs, pumped to the top of the tower which then gravity fed all the wards in the Purdysburn hospital. Although now long decommissioned it is however a protected building so still stands and can be seen long before you reach the grounds of the health care park.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service now have their resource centre in buildings very close by and so, as often as not, there are decommissioned ambulances parked outside the decommissioned tower.
Cache is a round tab-loc container covered in black gaffer tape and hidden under some natural camo and contains a log, pencil and a few small swaps.
Access to the health care park is unrestricted but be aware many people work around these parts so stealth may be required.....especially during normal working hours.
Not quite a cache and dash. You must sign log to get a smilie...I will be checking! Please leave the way you find it....you'll see what I mean when you find it.
