Östlich der Rumer Alm befindet sich im sogenannten „Leckgraben“ ein markanter freistehender Fels, der auch vom Tal aus erkennbar ist. Östlich von der Rumer Nadel in einer kleinen Höhle ist der Geocache versteckt.
Um zum cache zu gelangen, muss nicht geklettert werden. Allerdings ist das letzte Stück des Weges aufgrund seltener Begehungen anspruchsvoll.
Für die Mühen wird man am Ziel mit einer großen Cachedose, einer tollen Aussicht und einem gemütlichen Sitz-/Liegeplatz belohnt.
Der Fund kann z.B. in der nahegelegenen Rumer Alm gefeiert werden.
Der Cache kann auf folgenden Varianten erreicht werden, die - je nach Kondition – weiter ausgebaut werden können.
- Zu Fuß:
Vom Parkplatz Rumer Waldspielplatz über den schattigen und wenig frequentierten „Sennermahdsteig“. Gehzeit ca. 1,5-2 Stunden.
- Mit dem Mountainbike:
Vom Parkplatz Rumer Waldspielplatz den Fahrweg bis zur Rumer Alm. Von dort zu Fuß weiter ca. 30 Minuten zum Cache.
East of Rumer Alm there is in the so called „Leckgraben“ a striking freestanding stone, that is also recognisable from the valley. East of the Rumer Nadel in a small cave is the geocache hidden.
You don't have to climb to reach the cache. But the last part of the path is challenging because of the rare use.
Despite the effort you will find at the final a cache with a lot of space, magnificent views and a comfortable place to sit/lie.
The find can be celebrated fo example in the Rumer Alm (not far away).
