Suomen maanteiden korkein kohta
Muotkatakka on Suomen maanteiden korkein kohta - 565,6 metriä meren pinnasta. Muotkatakalta tie alkaa laskemaan Kilpisjärven rantaan hyvin jyrkästi ja hieman yli kilometrin laskun jälkeen Saana näkyy ensimmäisen kerran. Muotkatakalla on Lapin Sotaan liittyvä sotamuistomerkki.

Kätkön tarina
Lauantaiaamuna 27.7.2013 neljä Pirkanmaalaista kätköilijää - atmap, Geopulut (puluisä), Mr.Petsku ja Pekka68 - lähtivät kohti MEGA 2013 - Adventures in Lapland -megaeventtiä. 30.7 vuorossa olivat mieliinpainuneet käsivarren nähtävyydet ja kätköt. Menomatkalla auto ajoi ohi tästä Suomen maanteiden korkeimmasta kohdasta ja heräsi ajatus paikan kätköttämisestä myös hieman helpommin lähestyttävällä tavalla kuin paikan toinen kätkö Muotkatakka. Paluumatkalla pysähdyttiin ihastelemaan paikkaa ja askartelemaan kätköä (teimme parhaamme sillä mitä mukana oli, joten olkaa lempeitä kätkölle :), josta tuli samalla myös mieliinpainuneen georeissun muistopurkki.
The highest point of Finland's highways
Muotkatakka is the highest point of Finland's highways, leveling up to 565.6 meters from the sea level. The road begins to lower down very steeply to the shore of lake Kilpisjärvi from Muotkatakka. Saana will be visible for the very first time after decending slightly more than one kilometer. There is also a memorial of Lapin Sota (the war of Lapland) at Muotkatakka.

The story of the cache
On a Saturday morning at 27.7.2013 four geocachers from Pirkanmaa - namely atmap, Geopulut (father of the family team), Mr.Petsku and Pekka68 - started the journey toward MEGA 2013 - Adventures in Lapland megaevent. At 30.7 it was time for the beautiful and memorable sights and geocaches from "the arm" - as the northwest parts of Finland is called. On our way up we drove by this highest point of Finland's highways and had an idea of setting up a geocache which could also be accessed a little bit easier than the other cache Muotkatakka. On our way back to Muonio we made a pitstop and enjoyed the sights as well as crafted the cache (we made our best with what we had, so be gentle to the cache :). Cache also become the memorial cache for our memorable geojourney.
