It's no longer around, but it used to be...



Here are some true stories from the days I grew up living on Irondequoit Bay….and yes, they are true.


As kids we thought this restaurant was the greatest. I mean, come on, the sign had a pirate on it. How could it not be great!
My dad lived in Webster so we passed this on Friday nights when we went to stay with him for the weekend.

Then one day we actually went there to eat! I was so excited. I think I was about 9 years old.
We go in and sit down and it was the greatest.

Then I looked at the menu. WHAT??? No hamburger??!! What the heck!

How to make a kid miserable.

Well they brought me the ‘closest’ thing they had to a hamburger which was something like
a Salisbury steak. Yep. I was not a happy kid.

Needless to say my love affair with the Buccaneer ended that day. From then on it
was just a cool sign.

You are looking for a small container that is hopefully well hidden. If you have a story from
