This is going to be first in a series of caches, the Nunya Biz series, placed in the St. Clair County area celebrating the bygone history of local businesses and neighborhoods that shaped the area as it is now. Long time residents will be able to take a trip down memory lane and relive the good ole days, and those new to the area may learn some local history and trivia.
Grandpa's Place cache is placed at the location of a long defunct discount store that thrived before the days of the"big box discount retailers". This was the kind of store you could find almost anything you needed if you had an afternoon to search, just like the garage at grandpa's house. And just like grandpa, they had everything you could possibly need for fishing, camping, lawn care, and home repair.
