Geocache Description:

This cache is designed to bridge the gap between the two villages of Stanley and Dale Abbey.

As a family we walk this area quite often and as this is the first cache I have placed, I thought it would be a good idea to put one in an area we visit regularly.

Parking can be close by near Upper Hagg Farm but it is at the side of a very quiet road only, however this is part of a series which starts at cache "A bridge not to far" and follows an Erewash Borough Council leaflet called Family walks 5, Stanley walk 1 (2.25 miles). Where the cache is positoned, it can be very muddy so wellies may be necessary and therefore not really suitable for wheelchair users.

The cache is a good size clip top sandwich box and is at ground level. It contains a notepad, pencil and trading items. It is also big enough for travel bugs etc. This is my first cache so hopefully I have made this an easy one to collect!

Congratulations to Mrspinkrat for first to find.
