Extract from Inspector Dimm’s notes about the suspects following interviews with the cachers at the event.
Verulanum has been caching for five years. He has 2,970 finds and 27 published caches. He is a keen sportsman and football supporter – his preferred team was relegated from the Premiership last season. The reviewer, Itsezear, supports a rival team, who are regularly in the top half of the Premiership league table. Earlier in the day, he and Verulanum were heard having an argument about the merits of their respective teams. The argument ended when Verulanum stormed away. Itsezear laughed and called after him, at which point Verulanum turned, made a most ungentlemanly gesture and cried, “If you call our goalkeeper once more, I’ll have you! You’ll be leaving here in a box!”
