Rait Castle is technically not a castle but a "Hall House", built in the early 14th century. The Castle has been abandoned since 1442 after a massacre between the Cummings and the Mackintosh's.
Chief Cumming of Rait held a grand banquet for the Mackintosh's under the guise of burying former animosities and to establish friendly relations. They had however planned to murder every Mackintosh present. The daughter of Chief Cumming was however the lover of young Mackintosh so went to a large boulder some distance away and disclosed the entire secret plot to the stone. She knew that her lover was behind the stone as it was their usual meeting place - The stone is known as The Stone of the Maiden.
The Mackintosh's now aware of the foul plan were armed and ready with daggers which they drew and thrust into the the hearts of the Cummings. The Chief was one of the ones to escape and knowing that his daughter was in love with the young Mackintosh and suspecting her of the betrayal rushed to her chambers. She tried to escape him by leaping from her window but not before he had cut off both her hands with his broadsword.
To this day there is reports of visitors seeing the ghost of young girl with no hands haunting the ruins.

The co-ordinates will take you to the centre of the castle ruins, you will then need to work out the sums to get the final hiding place for the cache.
Inside the main section of the castle, count the windows. We have used the term windows, but we have taken the number of "holes" which go from the inside right the way outside.
