The cache is located on an ancient trackway that has been cut in half by a new housing development. Highbrook Park will fill the fields to the west with houses over the next few years but for now you can still see deer, owls and other birds of prey while walking in this area. If you look up you will see a variety of bat boxes attached to the trees.
Maule's Lane, which forms the southern end of the track, used to be the access road to Maule's Nursery which was in the field to the west of the lane for over 100 years. It was demolished a few years ago to make way for the housing development.
The parking area on the new road into the estate has now had yellow lines added so parking near the cache is difficult. You could try parking in the entrance to Maule's Lane but I think it is within the dual carriageway clearway and access is difficult from the busy dual carriageway.
