The church was built in 1865, although the south doorway, the bell cot and some memorials, including a stone effigy of a knight were retained from the original structure which was built in the late 12th century. The bell dates from 1350 and so may be from the old church building.

There is a military gravestone at N51° 41.430 W000° 59.631. On the lower part is an inscription of 11 words. The number of letters in each word is required to calculate the final co-ordinates.
The cache is at N51° 41.(1st – 9th) 11th (5th – 8th) W000° 59.(6th + 7th) (4th / 2nd) (10th – 9th). The total co-ordinates add up to 55. In spring and summer, the container may be hidden by long grass. It is advisable to bring a stick or trekking pole.
geocaching.com states under 'Help Center' in Paragraph 1.7. Geocaching etiquette: 'We like to keep things fun for everyone, so we have a few rules we encourage everyone to follow. Sign both the logbook and log your find online to get your smiley. Geocache owners love reading about your experience'. There are more rules, but this is the first one. This cache owner requests that if on the rare occasion geocachers are unable to sign, an explanation is given in their log. A photo of the cache, if possible should then be sent through the messaging system.
