Geocache Description:

A micro container, concealed off the north end of the station.

SideTracked - Wylde Green 2

The previous SideTracked for this station was retired and archived in July 2013, with an invitation to let someone else have a go. I've decided to take this challenge, as it's a nearby station for me.

This time, the cache is at the north end of the station. It can be reached from either platform by walking down the ramp (a legitimate walking route!) and along the footpath to the bridge. Parking is also available in nearby streets, but be careful if parking on the bridge itself as views from approaching vehicles may be obscured.

You are looking for a screw-top tube, about 3-4" long, containing a log only - bring your own pen.

From the previous cache page:

About Side Tracked

We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many Motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick Cache-and-dashes at Railway Stations.

Opened on the then-LNWR Sutton Coldfield Line in 1862, Wylde Green Station has undergone considerable restructuring and none of the original station building remains. Instead, we are presented with an odd triangular-roof-shaped design at road level on the side of the Birmingham platform.

One final thing - Please ensure the cache is put back exactly where you found it - I came to check the log the day after it was published and it had already moved significantly. Thank-you.
