Enjoy a refreshing, if somewhat rusty, 'drink' at this Official Village of Wayland Water Fountain (not really) owned and operated by the Village in cooperation with the Fire Dept. Every so often the fire hydrant gets flushed and turns the shoulder of the road into a teeny tiny river. The pole next to the 'fountain' is used to locate the hydrant in a high snowfall - and it's in desperate need of a paint job. This one should be a simple Cache & Dash, but see the hint just in case. Please be mindful of the property. No need to cross the sidewalk to get this one. The cache is not located on the fire hydrant.
Sometimes we park by the road so watch out for the car whilst caching - but both vehicles are trackables so you can log those if you spot them :)
Please..
- Be mindful of muggles. It is a residential neighborhood.
- Don't trample the flowers!
- Don't cache after dark.
- Don't park in front of the hydrant.
…aaaaand there's a porch cat nearby most times but he's an ex tom cat and he bites. He's a stray who came by and decided to stay so we had him… ahem… fixed =^..^=
It's a micro so you need your own pen/cil and tweezers.
